Water Day!

Here is a little look into our water day! I think everyone had fun...thanks for your support in this activity, and remembering all their stuff!! And a special thanks and shout out to Sami and her family for letting me borrow the water slide...as you can see from the pictures it was a hit...and by far their favorite activity!!

Pictures are in reverse order...my afternoon friends eating their otter pops AFTER all the water fun was over!

They are all so cute! It was such a fun day!
Our water balloon toss...
we lucked out with some GREAT balloons...they didn't pop very often (except Mason and Caden! :) )

Caden had some impressive tramp skills...flip and all...how did you teach him to do that?
Drying off and warming up a little between slides!
waiting patiently...they all had GREAT listening ears to remember only one person at a time...afternoon friends were a little more impatient, but this was as crowded as it got...so they did pretty good.

Mason wins the "No Fear" Prize for the afternoon (Sami wins for the morning!)More of the same...just with my morning friends!!

It was a LITTLE colder in the morning! All the girls were so cute trying to stay warm...who knew you could get cold at 90 plus degrees.

Thanks for a fun water day! Don't forget Monday is our field trip to Basha's...and don't forget to wear a hat (or you have to wear their hair net...parents too!)
Thursday is our bake sale....please come and support your children about 15 minutes early. We will bake everything here at school, and everything will cost 1 quarter!! Thanks for all your support!
Have a great weekend!

4 and a half weeks LEFT!!!

Here is a sneak peek into our Easter festivities. It is taking forever to download pictures so you will have to wait to see the rest until the end of the year.

Our egg hunt...thanks for your contributions
Dyeing their Easter eggs.

Morning friends!

Their hunt

They did so good on all of their eggs.

Remember...we are in full gear these next few weeks...have to cram A LOT in in very little time!
Here are some dates to remember:
This Thursday the 23rd WATER DAY...please have your child wear their suit to school, however we will only be outside about the last 30 minutes of class.
MONDAY the 27th...FIELD TRIP TO BASHA'S at 9 AM...all are welcome...it will probably last about an hour.
THURS. the 30th...OUR BAKE SALE...please plan on coming to PICK THEM UP about 15-20 minutes. Our preschool will be transformed to a store and we will have goodies to sell you for $0.25...they will be sold first come first serve. Feel free to tell family members or neighbors...the more the merrier...gives the kids a better experience!
May 13th--PLEASE BRING A PLAIN WHITE SHIRT FOR YOUR CHILD (If you want to wash it before hand that's ok...but please don't wash it after you get it back...they will wear these to graduation!)
May 18th-- WE WILL HAVE SCHOOL to make up for ending a day early...I couldn't get the building for any other day...sorry!
May 19th-- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL (probably combined and at the graduation site...pending availability...will keep you posted) but plan on morning school that day 9-11:30 for EVERYONE!!
GRADUATION WILL BE THAT NIGHT AT 7:00 PM should be well over by 8:00 PM including socializing a little bit afterwards.
I can't believe how quickly the year is going.
Some things from the past week:
We have had fun learning about the ocean: hopefully they told you some of the facts we have learned about (hopefully they are all true :) ) We learned that a blue whale is the largest mammal. It's heart is the size of a small car, and 10 people can fit on it's tongue. We learned that an Octopus has 8 legs (actually called TENTACLES...sorry if another name came out when they told you about it! :)). And they are very smart, and they don't have bones so they can squeeze through a whole the size of a coin. We learned that sea stars aren't called star fish anymore because they are not fish. They always have at least five arms, but can have as many as 20. Each arm has an "eye ball" and their arms regenerate. They all seemed very interested in all of this information...try quizzing them about it...see what they remember.
We have successful completed 4 of our six songs...Pledge of Allegiance, Proud to be an American, This land is your land (first part only), and These are the continents. This week we will be learning It's a small world, followed by God bless the USA the next week. I hope your children have enjoyed learning about our country a little bit.
That's been our last week or two in a nut shell. Thanks for all of your contributions and help throughout the year. You guys are amazing!! Have a great week!

7 WEEKS LEFT...THAT'S ALL!!

Just thought I would give you a run down of what I have planned (hopefully it all goes as planned) for the LAST 7 WEEKS (can you believe it? Where does time go)

Next week: We will be learning "This Land is your Land" (track 3)...only the first verse and chorus though...don't worry about the rest. ( we have already done the first 2 tracks)

APRIL 9th--THURSDAY--Easter Party...we will be DYING Easter eggs...so please don't send them in their best clothes--we have never had an accident yet...but you never know. ALSO PLEASE BRING 6 FILLED EGGS on this day for our hunt. It can be candy, chocolate, or little toys and stickers, etc...I have seen a lot of little fillers at wal-mart for cheap. Your child will bring home 6 different eggs. It will be a great day!

Week 14-16--We will learn "These are the continents" (not on your CD) and continue doing some of our ocean theme.

Week 21-23 We will learn "God Bless the USA" (track 4). We will also learn the letter "W"
Depending on the weather: on April 23 we will have 'W'ATER DAY (Just for the last 20 minutes of class or so...I have lost all my connections with friends with big back yards that live close..so we will just be doing it here) we will just be doing water balloon toss, and some water relays, etc...and we will end the day with some popsicles!! :) Please plan on having them wear their swim suits (with clothes over) to school that day!

APRIL 27th-- A MONDAY-- A FIELD TRIP TO A GROCERY STORE (haven't booked it yet...on my list to do tomorrow...so hopefully we can do it this day) More details to come.

Week 28-30-- we will be practicing what we want to be when we grow up, but more importantly we will have a BAKE SALE on the 30th. (After touring the grocery store...we are going to create our own store...bake lots of goodies as a class...and invite you to come shop at our store!!)
It will be the last 20 minutes of class on the 30th...anyone is invited...grandmas, neighbors, cousins, friends....it's REALLY cute (at least I think so). Everything will cost $0.25 so start saving!! :)

May 5-7-- We will work on Mother's Day projects!! (Happy Mother's day to all you wonderful super moms) and practicing practicing practicing!!!

May 12-14-- We will be making all of our graduation decoration including our SHIRTS...this is the week that I will need you to bring in ONE PLAIN white shirt for your child (please don't spend a lot of money...I have seen them for $3.00 at Wal-Mart and $2.50 at michael's, etc...or feel free to use one you already own. I would rather it didn't have a pocket it on it, but if that's all you can find that is fine. I will also ask that you don't wash it after we have "made" it so if you are obsessed with washing clothes before you wear them, please wash it BEFORE you give it to me. Thanks!!

MAY 18th-- A MONDAY...THERE WILL BE SCHOOL TO MAKE UP FOR NO SCHOOL THURS. (The field trip in April is helping to make-up no school Wed.)

MAY 19th-- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL... GRADUATION THAT NIGHT AT 7 (GRADUATES WILL HAVE TO BE THERE BY 6:45). PLEASE CHECK YOUR SCHEDULE NOW TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY CONFLICTS...I will be doing it at my church house and it's a very busy time of the year, and hard to get a day so I had to settle for this day (the public schools get out this week as well...so check HS graduations, seminary graduations, and awards nights that your other kids might be having, etc) if this date is a problem for any of you please let me know ASAP and i will go back to the drawing board!! ALSO THIS DAY...Depending on how well they have learned everything we MIGHT do a "DRESS REHEARSAL" that day and have school there...You will just drop off and pick up there...we will just practice over and over, and maybe watch a movie for a few minutes at the end if they nail it...so classes would be combined that day probably in the morning...more info to come, but beware of that change possibly!! Depends on how well they are doing and if I can get the building for the whole day.

I think this just about covers it all for the next few weeks. It will be a very full few weeks with lots of fun things planned. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try not to be late and definitely not miss (unless you're sick of course!!) Thank you so much!

Let me Know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about ANY of this!! Thanks!
