March Already?!?!?!

Where does the time go? I can't believe it's March already! Here's a little insight into the past two weeks at preschool.

The dollhouse is still a hit with my morning friends, and is usually played a least a little bit every day.
My afternoon friends do such a great job of playing all together as well.

Hayden loves the doll house and is usually the first one found playing with it.

Sami and Alexa have loved building a "stage" the last couple days and dancing on it while listening to our "outer space" music.

Aren't they beautiful dancers? They had the whole class in their for a little bit!!

We graphed our favorite kind of chocolate...ice cream one in both classes! :)

We told a story about a little girl who made her dad's lunch every day for him (he was a coal miner) and she would put a treat in it everyday...ice cream (it melted), cake (she forgot a fork so he got all sticky), and a cookie (it got all crumbled into pieces) so she finally made up her own dessert for him...A MOON PIE...so one day the kids made their own moon pie...graham crackers, frosting, and marshmallows (sorry if they didn't eat lunch! :))

We also played a game where we had to match the correct shapes to the correct martian/aliens.

We also played Space Bingo, but I don't think I got a picture. Instead of saying :bingo" they had to say "Blast Off!!" They seemed to like that!

The day I told the moon pie story I had store bought moon pies for them (picture below) but the next day they got to make their ow

Crew and Mason putting on a puppet show for me...
We also practiced making the letter "K" with our bodies...
"Soldiers"--straight line down
"Punch your arm up"

"Kick your leg out"--"What letter are we?...K...What sound do we make...Kuh" This helped them visualize it before we made it on the board.
I also took out my little white boards this week and we practiced writing a lot of the letters we have learned (which is almost all of them...I think we have about 6 left). We also practiced reading our three letter word family words. They did so good doing them for homework...hopefully they read them to you to. I will continue to do this throughout the year...so keep practicing with them...the more they practice the quicker they "get it". They are all doing fantastic though!
This week we will be doing the letter "B" and our theme is "sounds of spring"...should be lots of fun!!
I hope you all have a great week. Don't forget Spring Break will be March 17-19. Hope you can do something fun with your families!!
